BPMA Membership Enjoys Further Boost
The British Pump Manufacturers Association (BPMA), has enjoyed further membership growth in recent weeks, with three new full members joining the association.
The first of these is BPS Pumps, the manufacturers of Beresford pumps, who offer the PV and BY ranges aimed at chemical and fuel transfer applications. In addition to the Beresford range of pumps, BPS also distribute for many major pump companies including Grundfos, Ebara, KSB, Pedrollo, Calpeda, Apex and Efaflu, providing complete pump sets and spare parts across a wide range of industry sectors. Mechanical seals and seal kits are also supplied from manufacturers including AES, Burgmann, and Vulcan.
Also recognising the benefits of BPMA membership are liquid transfer, emptying, mixing, filling, dispensing, and metering specialist Flux Pumps International (UK). The company has a 70-year history, having invented the world’s first electric drum pump in 1950 and the world’s first brush-less battery motor for pumps in 2014. Technical prowess and a drive for innovation have helped to develop the business into a leading European manufacturer of drum, barrel, and IBC pumps.
Operating from sites in Sheffield, Leicester and Newcastle, M Seals UK, a specialist manufacturer of engineered sealing solutions, completed the trio of new members. Offering a broad range of high-performance O-rings, Seals and Gaskets, its engineers can design and produce over 250 different seal profiles in Elastomer, Polyurethane, PTFE, Thermoplastic and Fluoropolymer materials.
Additionally, four associate members have also joined the BPMA recently, all of which have strong links to the pump sector. Conexiom provides a cloud-based platform that streamlines the transformation of unstructured trade documents into structured data; Rustek SA specialises in providing EAC certification services to the oil and gas, industrial and energy industries; and Kiwa Watertec offers product design evaluation, pre-compliance testing and testing on all potable water products.
Finally, and on a reciprocal basis, the Association of Electrical and Mechanical Trades (AEMT), which represents and supports the interests of UK and international electromechanical repair businesses, has become an associate member of the BPMA, with the key aim being to help develop and deliver training in the repair of pumps and pump related systems.
In welcoming these companies into BPMA membership, Steve Schofield, BPMA Director and CEO said: “It is gratifying to know that the business benefits associated with membership are still valued by a growing number of pump-related businesses, and as such, I am delighted to welcome this latest set of companies into the association and look forward to providing them with all the support at our disposal.”
