Greene Tweed designs and manufactures materials, components, and solutions that outperform and outlast in the world’s harshest environments. With 160 years’ experience pushing the boundaries of material science, Greene Tweed has served clients in semiconductor, oil and gas, aerospace, defense, life sciences, chemical and pharmaceutical processing, and other industries where failure is not an option.

With over 200 engineers in labs across North America, Europe, and Asia, we work with you to create customized solutions that are more resilient, safe, efficient, and sustainable. Greene Tweed’s innovative thermoplastics, elastomers, composites, sealing solutions, and custom-engineered components are tailored to your critical operations’ requirements, and made to withstand extreme temperatures, pressure, chemical corrosion, and mechanical wear. Key solutions to our portfolio include (but are not limited to):

WR® and AR® Thermoplastic Composites: A durable alternative to traditional materials like bronze, cutlass rubber, and carbon graphite for wear rings, bushings, and bearings. WR® 650, our latest portfolio addition combines almost universal chemical compatibility with extended dry-running properties.

Xycomp® Thermoplastic Composite Containment Shell: Eliminates eddy-current loss in sealless magnetic drive pumps and maintains sealing integrity at higher pressures and temperatures than past non-metallic shells could attain.

Chemraz® Perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) seals: The ultimate elastomer combining the broadest chemical resistance with resistance to extreme temperatures, up to 325°C (617°F).

Our U.K. facility in Ruddington, Nottingham was established in 1984. This full-service facility includes on-site engineering and manufacturing capabilities, such as isostatic molding, compression and composite molding techniques, and in-house test laboratories. Recently expanded, the facility is now double its original size with increased capabilities. The growth of our Nottingham location signifies an increase in services for our global customer base, from manufacturing and on-site engineering to customer service capabilities.
