A British manufacturer of chemical-resistant centrifugal pumps has specialised in this field since 1973, supplying chemical pumping solutions built to last is looking for remote-based Technical Sales Engineers that are self-motivated to deliver upon goals of existing CRM, NBD and total sales both in the UK and export markets.

Job Description
Predominantly working from home, the Sales Engineer will be on the road visiting existing and new customers across the country as required to maximise our value to them.

Core Responsibilities

  • Ensuring sales targets are met. Create, develop, and maintain key accounts through regular visits, and over the phone / video meeting.
  • Maintain a detailed technical and commercial knowledge of all Company products and their installation in customer applications
  • Proactively research and identify potential new customers
  • Carry out site surveys in response to enquiries and requests from customers
  • Follow up enquiries and quotations to prompt confirmed orders
  • Provide technical aftersales support as and when required

The ideal candidate will have some form of technical experience in centrifugal chemical-resistant pumps. But more importantly, this person will share the company values of drive to succeed, impeccable service, and integrity with a long-term view of successful relationships, not just the quick sale

Role Skills Summary

•Technical sales experience with pumps (ideally centrifugal pumps for corrosive applications)
• Proven track record of achieving sales growth
• Ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in person
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Attention to detail with the ability to plan and organise their own activities
• Self-motivated and highly driven to achieve targets.
• Current and clean UK Driving Licence

Remuneration package and longer-term prospects
• £40 - £45k pa base salary
• Bonus structure <20% of base salary
• £6k pa car allowance
• Standard company pension scheme
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Annual pay and bonus review based on past performance and future projections. Long term potential for the right candidate to develop.
