Three new members are welcomed by BPMA

The British Pump Manufacturers Association (BPMA), which represents the business interests of UK and Irish suppliers of liquid pumps and pump related equipment is delighted to welcome three new members into its ranks.

The first of these is Oxfordshire based Ambic Equipment Ltd, which designs, tests, manufactures and assembles a full range of Peristaltic Pumps, Dosing and Dilution Systems. Established in 1977 the company has grown both organically and through a number of strategic acquisitions, including the purchase in 2013 of RF Electronics, a specialist in the design and manufacture of Peristaltic Pumps and ancillary products.

RFE, originally founded in 1970, established a name for innovation and quality products through sound design and thorough production processes. The heritage of both companies has been founded on this common ethos and thrives in all of its operations today. With a small but dedicated team who take pride in delivering products and service that exceed our customers exacting needs, Ambic offers a bespoke design service for clients, as well as offering a range of standard configurations.

Also recognising the benefits of BPMA membership is electric motor manufacturer Menzel Motors Great Britain Ltd, the wholly owned subsidiary of Berlin based, Menzel Elektromotoren GmbH, which has been manufacturing and distributing electric motors since 1927. This medium-sized company specializes in the delivery of large electric motors, including special models, within the shortest possible time. The product range comprises high and low voltage motors, DC motors, transformers, and frequency inverters. Services include motor production and short-term quick adaptation of pre-engineered stock motors to application-specific requirements, where existing motors are either obsolete or the original OEM no longer trades.

To help facilitate fast delivery times, the company maintains a very extensive inventory including more than 20,000 motors with a maximum performance of up to 15,000 kW. The UK business, operating from the East Midlands and first registered in the UK in 2009, offers strong support from a sales force having more than 40 years of experience in the electrical rotating machines business.

The third company to recently join the BPMA is Tsurumi UK Ltd, a subsidiary of the European division Tsurumi (Europe) GMBH, which forms part of the global network of companies belonging to Tsurumi Manufacturing Company Ltd of Japan. Tsurumi has been manufacturing submersible pumps since 1924 for use in civil engineering, construction, wastewater treatment and domestic applications. Tsurumi pumps are designed to be used in the most demanding environments and are renowned for their outstanding durability and reliability.

As a global organisation, Tsurumi has a local presence in Europe, USA, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia, with production centres in Japan, Taiwan, China, and Vietnam. The brand has been active in the UK since 1974 and were the first lightweight 110-volt submersible pumps to be used in the UK construction industry. Proven to be highly reliable with low whole life costs, single phase Tsurumi pumps are still widely acknowledged as the leading brand in this market.
