Houghton International strengthens leadership team by appointing two new directors
Houghton International has strengthened its leadership team with the creation of two new director positions to support the company’s ambitious growth plans.
Hodi Mirafsari has been promoted to Engineering Director and Tiffany Scott to Marketing and Business Development Director. Both promotions from within, the two new positions reinforce key areas of the business and support strategic development goals.
Michael Mitten, CEO of Houghton International, commented: “Coming off the back of a strong 2018, our best year to date, we are strengthening our leadership structure to support the vision of the business going forward.
“Both Hodi and Tiffany have been integral parts of the business for several years and have consistently delivered results. I am confident that with their skills and experience, they will continue to drive their respective departments forward and support future business growth.”
Hodi has been an essential part of the business for several years now. Since joining in a Project Engineering Manager role in 2013, Hodi has used his experience and expertise to deliver a range of internal and customer projects. As Engineering Director, Hodi will lead our expanded engineering team to further develop Houghton International’s engineering, technical and R&D capabilities whilst continuing to provide professional support to operations, suppliers and customers. Hodi commented: “I am pleased to have taken on this new role and I am confident that with support of our first-class engineering team, we will continue to drive improvements to the innovative engineering solutions we offer to our customers.”
Since joining the business as Marketing Manager in 2015, Tiffany has worked as part of the sales and marketing team to strengthen the Houghton International brand, drive sales and position the business for sustainable growth. As Marketing and Business Development Director, Tiffany will continue to lead the marketing and sales support teams and be responsible for the development and implementation of marketing strategy, customer relationship management and for maximising ongoing strategic growth opportunities. Tiffany commented: “As the business grows, it’s important that we remain customer focused and position ourselves to maximise opportunities in a fast-changing marketplace. I’m looking forward to continuing to work as part of the leadership team to build on our success to date and maintain our position as a leading supplier and top employer regionally, nationally and internationally.”
