Eurofins E&E CML Limited (CML) was established as Certification Management Limited in June 2013. Offering a complete range of compliance services, we are a UK Approved Body (No 2503) for “Equipment and Protective Systems Intended for Use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres” Regulations 2016 (SI 2016:1107 (as amended)).

CML B.V. a subsidiary of Eurofins E&E CML Limited, is an EU Notified Body (No 2776) for European Union Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX). It is supported by its RvA Accreditation (No C640) to ISO/IEC 17065. Our full scope of ATEX notification can be found on the EU Nando Website.

We are supported by our UKAS accreditation (No 8175) to ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 17021-1 and ISO/IEC 17065 and our full scope of accreditation allows us to conduct all Notified Body activities under this legislation.

We are also an IECEx Certification Body (ExCB) and Test Laboratory (ExTL) with the full scope of standards, leading the world in annual numbers of issued IECEx certificates.

In addition to providing ATEX and IECEx certification, we can also issue UKEX, Japanese and MET North American approvals, and facilitate other regional requirements such as INMETRO for Brazil.

In 2017 CML became the world’s first Registered Type-examination Agency outside of Japan for Ex equipment for use within Japan. Providing a bridge to Japan CML can help you through the requirements and explain the differences.

With a team of expert assessment and test engineers we provide a responsive, competent, credible and innovative approach to product approvals that leads the way in the provision of Ex compliance and related services.

CML also provides UKAS accredited services (Ingress protection, environmental testing, functional safety certification for hardware and software and quality management system certification).

 

CML also became the world’s first certification body to issue IECEx certification for Ex s ‘Special Protection’. The Ex s, standard IEC 60079-33, is the IECEx certification basis for products used in explosive atmospheres where those products do not fall completely within the requirements of the existing protection standards.
