REF 2106 Field Service Engineers

One role to be based in Bristol / Gloucester / Hereford, One role to be based in Stafford / Midlands

The Company are looking for Service Engineers to install and commission power and quality meter products in the field for our Water Pump Efficiency business and our Assisted Living clients and heating customer.
Water Pump Efficiency customers include water utility companies and large manufacturers and Field Service Engineers who would be required to visit remote sites across the UK.

Assisted Living clients to include local authorities, care and assisted living providers, private residential homes for both assisted living and heating products with the addition of industrial environments for heating controls alone.

You will be working 37 hours over 5 days per week and due to the nature of the work involved, it is likely from time to time, that your 5 day week may include weekends.

The major accountabilities are:
• Produce site surveys, risk and method statements, in line with pre-defined company standards and ensure these are provided to the customer in a timely and consistent manner.
• Undertake pump testing, monitoring and calibration at customer premises while installing & commissioning of power and quality meter products. The above services shall be delivered at clean, raw or waste water effluent sites or other industrial settings that may include confined spaces or noisy environments.
• Undertake panel build and wiring to include electrical termination in distribution boards. This will be both site and office based.
• Utilise company test equipment to obtain results that will be captured and communicated using bespoke company software and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Ensure all test equipment is maintained and calibrated in line with prevailing legislation and standards
• Undertake Installation & Commissioning of devices for Bean bag Heat / Care or electricity meters.
• Undertake panel build and wiring to include electrical termination in distribution boards. This will be both site and office based.
• Undertake communication devices such as modem, gateways, routers, etc. at the site and communicated using bespoke company software and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Utilise technical and site expertise or customer specific knowledge to support and assist the Sales team or other Field Engineers.

Essential experience:
• Time served electrician, ideally to 17th/18th Edition and approved to C & G 2391, 2382 Electrical Installation and/or 2392 Testing & Inspecting Standards
• Minimum 2 years on site pump testing experience and filed work to establish an understanding of the practicalities of the test team and field instrumentation.
• Experience in mechanical / electrical environment preferably in the water industry
• Thorough understanding of how pumps operate and interact with their systems
• Experience in client facing roles

A requirement for the Field Service Engineer will be a full UK driving licence and the willingness to travel around the UK and stay away from home.

Salary: Up to £32,000 (depending on experience)
