These are all stand-alone courses, however, BPMA recommends that delegates take the Pumping Fundamentals course first before then selecting any one of the following courses to best enhance their knowledge.

MODULE One : PUMPING FUNDAMENTALS
Aimed at those purchasing and operating pumps this course introduces delegates to the role of pumps and pumping and the effects of liquid qualities.
MODULE Two: PUMP SELECTION
Aimed at individuals whose role includes the planning and specification of pumping operations. Extends the fundamentals dealt with in Part 1 and illustrates a procedure from an evaluation of enquiry data, through to issuing of a tender document.
MODULE Three: PUMP TESTING
Performance indicators are identified and test methods reviewed to include flow, pressure, speed, noise, and vibration. Designed to enable individuals to enhance their knowledge and skills in the practice of pump testing
MODULE Four: PUMP SYSTEMS
Examines fluid flow principles, flow regimes and evaluates good and bad practices. Designed to enable individuals to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the factors that have to be considered in the design of pump systems
MODULE Five: INTRODUCTION TO THE HYDRAULIC DESIGN PRINCIPLES OF CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS
Deals with the design approach to impellers, volutes, diffusers and outlets together with the effects of thrust, noise, and vibration. Aimed at those with a general technical background in pump engineering

* General Courses (held at the National Metalforming Centre, West Bromwich) - £300.00 + VAT per delegate per course (discounted to £250.00 for BPMA Members)
